Where it leads
New York & New Jersey House
From a basement track to a Sunday service — house built around the people in the room.
Chicago House
A drum machine, a cheap sampler and a church-raised voice — the blueprint every dance record still borrows.
Trax Records
The Chicago label at the origin of house: cheap pressings, foundational tracks.
