One record at a time, and the reason for each step.

Japanese Post-Rock & Math Rock

Clean twin guitars, drums played as lead instrument, odd meters delivered like pop — Tokyo and Kyoto, 2000 onward.

Louisville Post-Rock

Hardcore kids who learned to play quiet: clean guitars in odd meters, spoken vocals, basements in Kentucky.
