Where it leads
Japanese Post-Rock & Math Rock
Clean twin guitars, drums played as lead instrument, odd meters delivered like pop — Tokyo and Kyoto, 2000 onward.
Taiwan Rock
From Mayday's stadiums to No Party's gloom: Taipei as Mandarin rock's capital.
New York Indie Rock
Downtown guitars and a drum machine in the next room — the decade rock and dance stopped arguing.
