Where it leads
London Grime
140bpm, eight-bar wars, pirate radio static — East London teenagers building a genre on cracked software.
London Jazz
Horns over broken drums — jazz rebuilt by kids raised on grime, Afrobeat and soundsystem weight.
London Post-Punk
Punk's wreckage rebuilt with dub space, art-school nerve and cheap studios — London, 1977 to 1982.
