Where it leads
Memphis Soul
Horn stabs, dragging backbeat, one take: the sound of a house band cutting hits in a converted cinema.
Canterbury Scene
English jazz-rock with fuzz organ, odd time signatures and deadpan humour — a family tree, not a sound.
Palm Desert Stoner Rock
Downtuned guitars through bass amps, generator power in the open desert, and every band sharing the same six players.
