Where it leads
Chicago House
A drum machine, a cheap sampler and a church-raised voice — the blueprint every dance record still borrows.
Trax Records
The Chicago label at the origin of house: cheap pressings, foundational tracks.
Detroit Techno
Drum machines built into science fiction: Black futurism from a collapsing motor city, made for the floor.
