Where it leads
Japan Rock
Million-selling guitar music built for Japanese TV, stadiums and karaoke — CD-era records only now reaching vinyl.
Detroit Garage Revival
Two-guitars-no-bass primitivism, soul covers played wrong, and 7-inches pressed a thousand at a time.
Detroit Proto-Punk
Pull this thread and you get Michigan guitar noise from 1969 ballrooms to 1999 basements, unbroken.
