Where it leads
Washington, D.C. Hardcore
Fast, moral, self-released punk from a company town — and the label that made independence a working method.
Detroit Garage Revival
Two-guitars-no-bass primitivism, soul covers played wrong, and 7-inches pressed a thousand at a time.
Detroit Proto-Punk
Pull this thread and you get Michigan guitar noise from 1969 ballrooms to 1999 basements, unbroken.
