Where it leads
Bay Area Punk
Art-school sarcasm, slowed-down sludge and speed-freak hardcore, all pressed within a few miles of each other.
Detroit Garage Revival
Two-guitars-no-bass primitivism, soul covers played wrong, and 7-inches pressed a thousand at a time.
Detroit Proto-Punk
Pull this thread and you get Michigan guitar noise from 1969 ballrooms to 1999 basements, unbroken.
